More low cost and low risk assistive technology

So I did a post on Low-cost assistive technology and I thought that today would be a really great day to show some examples of what low-cost assistive technology is and how it can help people. ( also I do receive a commission if you purchase through these links.

So these are cutting boards and as you can see they are in different colours and styles so you can keep things hygienic and coded so I have a couple of these and they are amazing and they are flexible and you can use them in a dishwasher as well and I find that we have a colour code to keep things safe and hygienic.

We also see that people are very aware of hygiene and if you are setting up a house where someone is supported we see that this would be an example of low cost assistive technology.

I also love my electronic can opener and we see that this is another great example of low cost and low risk assistive technology due to it being a tool that makes my life so much easer and you don’t need to have the pressure on a manual can opener that you might not have the hand strength to open leading to you needing another person to do it for you, as we see that there is a trend towards having things that promote independence in the person as much as possible without isolating the person. But this is an amazing device and for me having hand issues we see that it does help a lot for me to be able to plan meals and to not have to plan around what is easy to open. Or to rely on a meal delivery service such as light and easy as I under nids was only allowed under my funding to have frozen meals when I would have loved a fresh meal.
