The Royal Coronation and my thought's.

I like a lot of people watched the Kings coronation and I see that this was a very interesting mix of very ancient traditions and modernity, from people who have a vested interest in seeing the monarchy continue as long as possible and we see that people need to be accepting of the traditions that people need to be able to understand what is happening and accept that the royal family is adapting to the needs in the modern age and I see that one thing that was very different was the fact that “common” people where invited to the ceremony and that there were people from different faiths involved in the family and we see that there were some Dukes and minor bureaucrat’s that where waiting for their invite didn’t get one and they got there noses out of joint that they were not invited. I personally find this amusing because it signals a changing of the times.

We as a younger society only knew Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth, the 2 and we see that King Charles seems a foreign option to us, and we do see that a lot of people wished for Charles to abdicate and to pass the crown to William and Kathrine, but we see that people have accepted King Charles and Queen Consort Camila.

I see that the pomp and ceremony are amazing and date back to the middle ages and Cromwell, we now see that the separation of church and state does get blurred but we see an anointing in the ceremony and this is where the reminder the monarchs that they answer to a higher power and that this is where we need to be aware that people need to be able to have their own views. On whether the monarchy is still relevant to this day. This is a complex debate but we need to see that people are able to debate this and agree on what is happening it’s something that we need to be able to discuss and to be able to have a mature debate about.

I see that having a constitutional monarchy is actually a good thing as it keeps the voted parliament to account and we see that this is a good thing as it keeps people accountable however we need to remember the dissolution of parliament in the era of Gough Whitlam and John Kirr however this is not the time or the post, but for my international readers, we see that the basics are that at the time Gough Whitlam was the prime minister of Australia and parliament was blocked and inflation was rising and several bills didn’t pass through the senate and we see that the Governor-general wrote to the queen and asked permission to dissolve parliament and we see that this was an interesting thing as we see that it caused a constitutional crisis, and we started to question did we need a monarch.

However, we do see that up to a point, we do see that people are happy to be part of the commonwealth as it does provide some political protection while also keeping our independence and we see that history aside that it’s a system of accountability. More so in Britain than in the commonwealth however it does have travel benefits and other benefits in trade as well.

We see that people are debating power and this is something that we are seeing since the Magna Carta this power has been restrained and there is a separation that we see in what they represent. Despite the weakness of some members of their family, we see that they do stand for service and duty, and we are seeing that people do have strong views either way.

But I see that the working Royals do a lot for charity and King Charles when he was the Prince of Wales did do a lot for charity and the environment. We also did see despite the supposed excess we see that it was something to celebrate. I see that the ceremony was toned down and that they did have it updated, to reflect the modern age. So this being, inviting the members of the Commonwealth, inviting the “common” people who have done extraordinary things, and I also did see some disability advocates, and this in history would have been very rare as we know that the queen did have cousins that did have a genetic disability and where institutionalized, however, this was for the best as they despite what popular media would tell you they were well looked after and had very good care and where sent regular gifts and even a stipend for there care.

Now we see people with disabilities being included, in history-making events like the coronation of the king as well. We are seeing a better reflection of society.

I personally see that people have very mixed feelings about this, but we see that people can discuss this on an open forum, and this is something that we couldn’t do in the past.

However, we are seeing that corporations are able, to limit what we are saying through YouTube and other platforms, we see that people are starting to see that we need to be able to see what is happening and have an honest discussion around it, this will be my next blog post and I look forward to seeing some comments about this and the role of the Royal families weather the Windsor’s or others around the world.
