This is a nonslip mat and we need to remember that in disability housing, if someone has mobility issues the one area that often gets forgotten is the Bathroom I will be featuring home aids that we are able to use in the bathroom and these are all on amazon and if you are a NIDS client often you can get it off the internet and claim it back from the NDIA or your plan manager generally these would be under consumables,
We see that people need to be aware that Slips and trips need to be prevented and this has the advantage of being able to stop mold and has an easy drain function and being able to be washed and hung out to dry and it is able to be used in either a bath or shower and we see that people need to be able to understand that tips and slips can be prevented and there are some really simple things that we can use are.
Nonslip mats, Shower rails or handles, and shower chairs as shower chairs come in a lot of styles and this also is able to keep a person as independent as possible and this means that someone is able to keep their independence as much as possible and that we are able to understand that some people will need help regardless to be able to show and to keep there home hygienic and this is where being able to replace the home aids is important due to the fact that people need to be able to replace the aids as they don't last forever and we see that people are more open to using them as well.
They are also very stylish and practical and this is something that people are able to find as a good thing due to the fact that people need to be able to display their personality in there aids and this is a massive oppuinty to be able to have, funky aids.
This is a great shower chair and I have been able to use this style of chair myself and we see that people need to be able to get it in and out of the shower to clean it and this is where people are able to do so and the handles are able to be cleaned and we are able to grab them when needed and that helps us in showering and hygiene as well we see that people need to be aware that shower chairs are able to to be cleaned and do actually need to be serviced as well, So in being able to be serviced they do last longer and I find that there a great lot of styles of chairs so it could either be a trial and error or by having an Occupational therapist assess your needs. This for NDIS clients is often the way to go.
